Lab members Melody Lynch, Marie Baron and Marie-Claude Lyonnais have returned from Nunavik after conducting primary data collection for the community component of Qanuilirpitaa? the Nunavik Health Survey. The team travelled to the 14 communities of Nunavik between August 16th and October 5th aboard the Canadian research icebreaker CCGS Amundsen.
Dr. Riva was awarded one of four McGill Trottier Fellowships 2017-2019 by the Trottier Institute for Science and Public Policy in support of the Housing, Access to Health Care, Education, and Employment among First Nations Living On- and Off-Reserve: Moving Evidence to Policy project.
Prof Riva and some of her research assistants and students, including Melody Lynch (RA), Marie Baron (PhD student), Christine Lussier (RA), Marie-Claude Lyonnais (Master’s student and RA), and Philippe Dufresne (RA) are currently involved in data collection for the Qanuilirpitaa? 2017 Nunavik Health Survey.
